Begum Nusrat Bhutto has led PPP and oppressed people of Pakistan for democracy after Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto arrest on 17 September, 1977. Begum Nusrat Bhutto’s main contribution to Pakistan was when she stood up against a dictator when no one was ready to do so.
Nusrat Bhutto was also a strong example for women in Pakistan. She has offered more sacrifices than any woman in this country and her struggle for democracy against the Zia Regime has been a bright chapter in the history of Pakistan.
She was simply a good person, a good wife, mother, grandmother, principled politician and an inspiring feminist.
